Elena’s Talisman is a necklace created by the witch Ester. After her Death, The necklace was passed down to her daughter, Rebekah to ensure its safety. The necklace was eventually lost by Rebekah in the early 1920’s and was later found by Stefan, who in turn gave it to Elena, filled with Vervain, to prevent him or any vampire from compelling her. It is a symbol of Stefan’s love and desire to keep Elena safe, from other vampires, and himself.
